Hello guys,

Yeah, it's that time of the week to write on the blog to remind you guys that there's training again. There is training this friday and the details are below:

Date:  26th August 2011
Time: 1500 - 1830
Attire: Full Uniform +PE Attire

(People going for hike during the 27th to 30th of August, just wear PE attire, full unifrom is not required)

Duty Patrol: Dolphin Patrol

1500 - 1510: General Fall-in
1510 - 1730: District Camp Preparation
1730 - 1820: Physical Training
1820 - 1830: General Fall-Out

During training, the secondary twos and ones would be continuing their preparation for their district camp. Anyway, this friday is the date that your logs are due. So, there would be time allocated for you to do your last minute changes to your log.

After you finish your logs, the secondary threes would teach their secondary ones and twos how to build tents. This would go on until PT.  Secondary Threes who don't know how to build tents, please tell Andre, Glen or me so that we could allocate people to teach your patrol.

Well, this friday's training is quite straightforward. Remember that your district camp is VERY close. So, pack up and rest well. For those juniors following their seniors, let me thank you for sacrificing your time to help your seniors. Let me apologise on their behalf for all the pressure you might have faced, whether is it temptations to mug or it's family issues. Thank you. Enjoy training and God bless.

Hello guys,

I hope you guys did well for TA3. Well, whether or not you did, or if you're feeling miserable for a careless mistake you made, life goes on. I wish you guys good results. Anyway, it's only TA3. Just keep going, yeah? Anyway, there's training tomorrow. This is the training schdule:

Date:  18th August 2011
Time: 1500 - 1830
Attire: PT Kit (PE Attire)
Duty Patrol: Blueshark Patrol

1500 - 1515: General Fall-in
1515 - 1730: Hike Log Preparation/District Camp Briefing (+ preparation)
1730 - 1815: Physical Training
1815 - 1830: General Fall-Out

For Secondary Ones & Twos
You guys would have the first part of your session in the LT1. You guys would be briefed about your logs. Like, the structure of all 3 (yes, there're 3 logs) logs and what's supposed to be in them. After the session, you guys would gather into your groups for your district patrol to discuss gadgets and start on your logs.

For Secondary Threes
Like last week, you guys would be in the ITC doing your logs. Everyone should finish their logs by tomorrow. All the pre-hike logs should be submitted to me or glen by tomorrow. Also, all the post-hike logs should be submitted also so that I can mark them and give it back to you by the end of training.

That's basically it for training. Short and sweet. Back to the exams, take this as a break from all the mugging (that I hoped you guys did) during the last few days. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy training tomorrow. Have a good time at scouts. God bless.

Hi guys,

Just to let you all know, training will resume this Friday, 19th of August :)
Sec 3s please note that the level retreat to malacca will be postponed (unfortunately) to 15th-17th Oct, right after our exams :) It will be fun :)

Hello guys,

(skip to second paragraph if you're here JUST for the boring schedule)

If you would have noticed the ever-ticking hands of time, it's already August! AUGUST! Time passes by so damn fast. And, if you have been noticing around the classrooms, you'll see more lifeless eyes around because they're studying for the upcoming TA3. What I'm trying to say is, STUDY FOR TA3 SOON! Don't choing at the last minute. Anyway, the common test break (for scouts) will come soon. Until then, lets enjoy scouting to its very essence.

Back to the actual topic, there is training this friday, as important as always. Bear with me because there's a lot of explaining to do.
This is this meetings agenda:

Date:  5th August 2011
Time: 1500 - 1830
Attire: PT Kit (PE Attire)
Duty Patrol: Tiger Patrol

1500 - 1515: General Fall-in
1515 - 1730: Hike Log Preparation/District Camp Briefing (+ preparation)
1730 - 1815: Physical Training
1815 - 1830: General Fall-Out

This is where the complicating stuff comes in.

For Secondary Ones & Twos
You guys will be having (@1530 - 1700) your district camp briefing by Mr Kwang in the LT1. The Secondary Twos are responsible for their Secondary Ones during this period.

For Secondary Threes
You guys will be in the ITC1 (@1530 - 1700) while the lower secondary are having the briefing. You guys will be doing your Advanced Pre-Hike logs. All Advanced Pre-Hike logs must be submitted to me or Glen for marking with proposed dates by 11th August (your choice is subjective).

If you've made your pre-hike log, bring it along and give it to me/glen.
If you've passed your pre-hike log, but not gone for the hike. Propose dates and tell them to me/glen. Bring everything you need for finishing the log (e.g. thumbdrive).
If you've finished your pre-hike log, but not your post-hike log. Give it to me/glen.
If you've finished the components of the Advanced log, start on your first class pre-hike log.
If you've finished everything and have nothing to do, you will mentor the Secondary Ones & Twos in the LT1.

Sorry if you had to read that whole chunk of words. This post is going to end. I watched Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 quite recently-ish. Whether you liked it, Harry Potter ends with this last movie. It all ends. Haha, I'll leave you guys with 2 quotes from the movie.

"Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?"

"Don't pity the dead, Harry. Pity the living, and, above all, those who live without love."

Daniel Tow.
