Hi guys,

As mentioned in my earlier post, training this week will resume on Thursday because of Sec 3 PTM on Friday. The agenda is as follows:

Date: 27th June 2012 
Time: 1440hrs - 1830hrs
Attire: Full Scout Uniform (National Scarf) + PE Attire
Duty Patrol: Swordfish Patrol

1440-1500: General Fall-in 
1500-1730: AP Rehearsal/Delta Senior School Campfire Preparations
1730-1800: Physical Training/Patrol Games
1800-1830: General Fall-out

If you haven't realized yet, there will only be 2 more official trainings (excluding AP Rehearsals) before Stepping Up Ceremony. So please treasure the time you have left with your patrol members. 

Swordfish Patrol, you are reminded to come down early on Thursday to construct the Flagpole.

Hi guys,

There are a few things to note for the next 2 upcoming weeks:

PLC
Secondary 4s, PLC will be held this Wednesday. Agenda is mainly to discuss the future of our Unit.

AP Rehearsals
There will be AP Rehearsals on the 26th and 28th of June, 3rd and 5th of July. Some of these trainings are Full-dress so please refer to your diary for more details. For reporting venues for AP Rehearsals:

Time: 1440hrs-1730hrs
Venue: Outside the Den
Attire: PE attire/Full Scout Uniform (refer to diary pg 100)

Those who have been selected on the last AP selection that we had, please turn up promptly or risk giving up your place to someone else.

Delta Senior School Campfire
Date: 30th June 2012
Venue: Delta Senior School
Time: To be confirmed
Attire: To be confirmed

This campfire is a Community Involvement Program (CIP) and hence all Scouts are expected to render their support to the students from this school. More details will be given on the next training. 

Secondary 3s Shaun Koo and Kevin Tan are in charge of this campfire.

Weekly Trainings
Training will resume this week on the 28th of June. This is due to Secondary 3 PTM on 29th, Friday. More details will be given shortly.

Combined UG Camp
Secondary 3s are to note that there will be a combined camp for 7 Cadets from each UG. Those that have been selected will be notified shortly.

160th Anniversary Parade & Stepping Up Ceremony
AP and Stepping Up will be on the 7th of July. More details will be given as the day approaches but it will be an all-day affair so please keep that day free. Attendance is compulsory for all Scouts.

Other Matters
From now on we will be reverting to the National Scarf. If you do not have one, you may continue wearing the centenary scarf until you get one. 

Please take time to familiarize yourself with these upcoming activities, even if they may not concern you and do inform those who are involved in them.

Hi guys,

As all of you know, UTC and PLTC will be held from the 13th-16th June at Sarimbun Scout Camp. 

Date: 13-16 June 2012
Time: 0730hrs
Attire: PE attire
People involved: UTC, PLTC and all Camp Staff

There are a few things to note: 
  1. PLTC participants and camp staff are to bring along the national scarf. UTC   participants and camp staff are to bring along the centenary scarf.
  2. Please pack according to the packing list. Do not bring anything more, or anything less.
  3. The PLTC personal equipment list is in the "Downloads" section, the UTC personal equipment list would be according to your PLs.
  4. Rest well and gear yourself up for the respective camps. UTC will be more of a learning camp but for the PLTC participants, your learning should have been done for the past 3 years so this is the time when you show us what you have learnt. 


Once again, General Fall-in is at 0730hrs. Please be punctual.

Hello guys,

This post is to test if the blog is working. I hope it is though. 

Well, UTC/PLTC is 2 days away. I hope you guys treasure the camp properly, to bond with your peers around you. 

For UTC, I want you guys to make sure that you have your packing lists (personal equipment list). Please feedback to us if you, at this point, do not have a packing list. 

For the UTC PLs, this will be a stressful time for you. These are some suggestions for you. (1) Upgrade your log. (2) Buy standardized bottles. (3) Get a good patrol box. (4) Think of how you can excel in the competitions - Gateway Building/Cooking Competition. (5) Be prepared for the camp. (6) Think of ways to impress  us. 

For the PLTC Participants, good luck. I know you'll do us proud.

There will be training tomorrow. You guys should be aware that your respective camps are less than a week away. Please cherish this last few trainings to upgrade yourselves accordingly. This is the schedule:

0930-1330: PLTC/UTC Preparation

1430-1700: PLTC/UTC Preparation

I hope you've rested enough for the past 3 days. May your remaining trainings be worthwhile. Enjoy them while you can.

The Personal Equipment List for PLTC has been uploaded to the downloads section. Do ensure that you pack everything listed there. If you lack any uniform parts/item, please find time to get it before the camp.

Hi guys (UTC+PLTC),
Please note that training tomorrow has been cancelled. This is because confirmation from sarimbun campsite regarding equipment has yet to be received. So, we do not know what to draw. Drawing of equipment is now postponed to 8/6/12 Fri. So, training resumes on Friday 9am. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

For the PLTC Camp Staff, you will only be required to fall in at the normal time, but you may turn up earlier if you wish to do so. You may leave once you have finished planning your respective responsibilities.

For UTC and PLTC participants, remember to bring money for lunch.
